For 30 years, the programs of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California (RMHCSC) have been committed to improving the health and well-being of local children through a variety of wellness and educational programs. In communities across the Southland, RMHCSC is making a positive difference for children and families in need. Throughout nine Southern California counties, RMHCSC currently operates four Ronald McDonald Houses in Loma Linda, Los Angeles, Orange and Pasadena, Camp Ronald McDonald For Good Times, a Community Grants Board and four scholarship programs for exemplary high school students. The Southern California chapter of Ronald McDonald House Charities is the largest in the U.S.

Miller on Van Nuys Blood Drive
Miller on Van Nuys is hosting a blood drive on January 30, 2009from 10am-4pm in the Arc Blood Mobile on Van Nuys Blvds, in front of Miller Infiniti.
Top 10 reasons to donate:
10. You will get free juice and cookies.
9. You will weigh less ; one pint less when you leave than when you came in.
8. It's easy and convenient ; it only takes about an hour and you can make the donation at a donor center, or at one of the many Red Cross mobile blood drives.
7. It's something you can spare ; most people have blood to spare... yet, there is still not enough to go around.
6. Nobody can ask you to do any heavy lifting as long as you have the bandage on. You can wear it for as long as you like. It's your badge of honor.

Miller Infiniti Food Drive Nov.1-Nov.30
Miller Infiniti is hosting a Food Drive!
It's time for a Food Drive! Miller Infiniti will be holding a food drive from November 1, 2008 through November 30, 2008 to help the Los Angeles Regional Foodbank. This is a great chance to make a difference in our community. I encourage you to join us in our efforts to help our less fortunate neighbors.
The food and funds we raise will help the Foodbank supply food to over 1,000 charitable agency sites that provide food to low-income children, families, senior citizens and individuals in need throughout Los Angeles County.
One in four children in Los Angeles live at or below the poverty line. Of the households served by the Foodbank, 42 percent have one or more adults in the workforce. Yet thousands of these families are still forced to choose between paying the rent and buying groceries.
In the past year, the Foodbank distributed 41 million pounds of food. This year their goal is to collect 44 million pounds of food. Your help and contribution is vitally important.
Here are ways to contribute to this months Food Drive:Donate nonperishable food items in the Foodbank located in the Miller Infiniti facilities during the drive. To follow this months theme, "Holiday Helpings," Think of foods you would like to eat during the holidays, like:
*Canned Sweet Potatoes
*Canned Gravy
*Cranberry Sauce
*Stuffing Mix
*Canned Ham
*Canned Pumpkin
*Evaporated milk
*Canned Corn
*Sugar

Miller on Van Nuy's first pet adoption was a hit!
Miller Honda, Miller Nissan, and Miller Infiniti's pet adoption at Van Nuys Sherman Oaks Park had a great turnout! Volunteers and animals from Kinder 4 rescue, Pet orphans of Southern California, Saving Grace LA, Life 4 Paws, Daphneyland Basset Rescue, and East Valley Animal Shelter took over the grass field in front of the senior center at the Van Nuys Sherman Oaks park. Even before the event had started, swarms of people had come over to support the destitute animals of Southern California. We've had an overwhelming turnout of approximately 500 people! With their help, we've managed to find loving homes for over 40 animals along with applications for adopting additional animals. Miller Infiniti Van Nuys would like to thank each and everyone of you that came to support our pet adoption. Together we can make a difference.

Miller Infiniti is hosting a pet adoption on 7/26/08
Miller Honda Van Nuys, Miller Nissan Van Nuys, and Miller Infiniti Van Nuys will be hosting a pet adoption at the Van Nuys Sherman Oaks Park on Saturday, July 26, 2008 from 10am-3pm. East Valley Animal Shelter, Kinder 4 Rescue, Life4Paws Inc., Saving Grace LA, Pet Orphans of Southern California, Serenity Place Rescue, and Basset Rescue will be there with animals that need homes!! And everyone that adopts a pet will leave with goodies from our sponsors. Our sponsors include Miller Honda Van Nuys, Miller Nissan Van Nuys, Miller Infiniti Van Nuys, and Petco. Big Brothers Big Sisters School Supplies and Arts + Crafts Drive 6/1/08-6/30/-08
The mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Los Angeles and the Inland Empire is to help children in need reach their potential through professionally supported, one-on-one mentoring relationships.
In their School-Based Program, volunteers offer individualized time and attention on a consistent basis to children in public elementary and middle schools throughout Los Angeles. While the mentor may spend time helping the child with schoolwork, the focus is on providing friendship and emotional support.
Throughout June, Miller Infiniti Van Nuys is teaming up with Big Brothers Big sisters to provide educational support for their School Based Mentoring Program. And you can help!Donate school supplies or arts + crafts materials by bringing them to Miller Infiniti Van Nuys today!
